MY HERO: Ibu Robin Lim —

Dear friends —

You won't regret taking five minutes to watch this beautiful film, made in Bali, about one of the most extraordinary women I've ever met — my friend the midwife Robin Lim (whom CNN recently named Hero of the Year.) The birth center that she runs is right down the road from where I used to live in Bali, and she is so beloved in that community — as she has brought, with gentleness and strength, so many healthy babies into the world who might have died (or whose mothers might have died) otherwise.

I'm in this film, too, talking about my admiration for Robin. You'll see me walking through the village with Robin — and also sitting with her in the birth clinic, holding a baby who is about twenty minutes old (the tiniest little human being this professional auntie had ever met!)

Women's health is a lifelong passion for me. Anyone who fights for women is a saint to me. I care more about women's wellbeing than any cause on earth. Robin Lim is a tireless magician, who has been able (on the tiniest of budgets) to become a world leader in midwifery and natural childbirth. I adore her and revere her. So watch this movie, and you'll see why she is worth revering.

And if you want to donate to her foundation (I assure you every dollar will be most carefully spent) you may go right here:

And if you ever are lucky enough to visit Bali, do go to Ubud and visit Robin's clinic! Offer to do some volunteer work — there will always be something for you to do! Bring her money, bring her baby blankets, bring her baby clothes, bring whatever you can. You won't regret it!

Peace, Liz

Here it is, my honey scented Happiness Jar 🙂
As a friend suggested, I'm trying to learn how to stop always saying "sorry" and start saying "thank you"..This is my turning point, I'm on my way for a fresh start and all these moments of joy will come with me wherever I will go.
Thank you Liz for this wonderful idea ♥

SOOOOO Pretty!

I just wanted to share with you this close-up of the FRESHLY PRINTED British version of "The Signature of All Things". The official hardcover just arrived at the Bloomsbury offices in London, and they sent me this photo. Can't wait to have it in my actual human hands (I HAVE ACTUAL HUMAN HANDS, EVERYONE!) very soon! Will send more photos at that time!

Meanwhile, I love to see how the different art departments of the different publishing houses have interpreted the design of the novel. This one strikes me as the most old-fashioned — the one most specifically designed to look like an actual 19th century novel.

And if you want to pre-order "The Signature of All Things" (British version, American version or Aussie version — with more to come!) just click right here:

Happy Day, all —

Hey everyone! I wanted to share with you these photos of the books that were hidden over the weekend at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh, for lucky readers to stumble upon. You'll notice the GORGEOUS lush green cover (different from the ivory-colored American version of the novel)…and you'll also notice that (anticipating Scottish weather!) the books were bundled up in plastic bags to keep them safe…a wise touch! I am so curious to find out who found these!

Meanwhile, keep your eyes on this Facebook page, because over the next few months, we will be hiding advance copies of "The Signature of All Things" in botanical gardens across world! (To continue the botanical analogy…think of it as PLANTING A LITERARY SEED…)

All love! And thank you, Royal Botanic Gardens!
