THE EVENING COUNTDOWN CONTINUES….

Only 22 more days until "The Signature of All Things" is published, my lovely little darlings!

What a wonderful number, 22. So balanced and bouncy. And powerful (it's the atomic number for Titanium!) Also, it's the number of cards in a traditional tarot card deck. But most importantly, 22 was the number of the great Rolando Blackman, of the Dallas Mavericks! (OK, by now it's probably pretty obvious that I'm just reading shit off Wikipedia.)

But only 22 more days…seriously!

You can pre-order the book right here, if you want to get it faster than your neighbors:

And if you want to come see me on my upcoming tour, click here for details (with more to come!):

Lastly…HOORAY ROLANDO BLACKMAN!

22!

OK, just a hypothetical question here…

For the sake of argument, let's say you were born for a reason.

And, further to that argument, let's imagine that one of the reasons you were born was to achieve something in particular — something that you simply must face down, conquer, acquire, overcome or even enjoy before you die, in order to pass on in peace.

And let's also imagine that the other reason you were born was in order to shed something in particular — something that you need to be absolutely DONE WITH by the time you die, in order to pass on in peace.

What would they be?

What are you here to take on, and what are you here to let go of?

Do you know the answers to those questions in a snap? Or even one of them?

Would it change things if you did?

Because I gotta tell you guys — there is some stuff I straight up refuse to leave unresolved before I leave this gig.

I'm working on it. Every day, I'm working on it.

Tell me what you're working on…

All love,
Liz

Such a perfect day in my hometown of Frenchtown today! The Penguin book truck (and push cart) rolled through on this fine sunny afternoon, and the whole town became all about books, books, books.

Thank you to The Book Garden — our own fabulous local independent bookseller — for hosting us all so graciously. I signed books and talked to such sweet readers; my dear friend and neighbor Rayya Elias (author of "Harley Loco") sang on the bookstore porch; and John Smith (poet, neighbor, author of "Even That Indigo") read his poetry AND MADE ME CRY.

I am so in love with my town right now.

Here's a photo of John, Me, Rayya and Caroline (owner of the Book Garden.)

Wish you all could've been there, but, man, a LOT of you showed up! THANK YOU for the kindness, love and warmth…and thank you for letting me steal your phones and take selfies with them.

I say "selfies" because I am 14 years old.

Liz
