Such a perfect day in my hometown of Frenchtown today! The Penguin book truck (and push cart) rolled through on this fine sunny afternoon, and the whole town became all about books, books, books.

Thank you to The Book Garden — our own fabulous local independent bookseller — for hosting us all so graciously. I signed books and talked to such sweet readers; my dear friend and neighbor Rayya Elias (author of "Harley Loco") sang on the bookstore porch; and John Smith (poet, neighbor, author of "Even That Indigo") read his poetry AND MADE ME CRY.

I am so in love with my town right now.

Here's a photo of John, Me, Rayya and Caroline (owner of the Book Garden.)

Wish you all could've been there, but, man, a LOT of you showed up! THANK YOU for the kindness, love and warmth…and thank you for letting me steal your phones and take selfies with them.

I say "selfies" because I am 14 years old.

Liz
