OMG. Alma finally landed safety in Khartoum, Sudan. Can't wait to sink my teeth into it. It is a 2 weeks early B.day gift from a dear friend.

Sweet Isabelle wants to play. "Don't read", she implored! I tried to explain to her the human inability to put a good book down, especially when one is so close to the ending, but my pleas fell on deaf puppy ears. And so…we play…Alma will have to wait.:(

Holy shit! THEY DID IT!
Some of you may recall that a few weeks ago I posted a recipe that my friend Amy Stewart (author of "The Drunken Botanist") invented for a Signature of All Things cocktail…mossy great goodness deliciousness!
I dared you all to mix up a pitcher of them for a SOAT book club meeting, and a friend of this page named Amy Ashley just posted these photos…the fabulous liquid green evidence!
You have no idea how happy this makes me…and apparently the drinks were rather dangerously wonderful.
