I finished The Signature of All Things today and I have to say that I feel quite lonely without it. I've loved everything you've written but was hesitant to read this novel because I heard it was different from your other books. I'm so thankful I gave it a chance! SOAT has changed my life. It has changed my opinion of myself, how I think about the future, and how strong I am able to be. I have grown to love Alma like a sister, and I know I will visit her again in the future. Thank you for sharing her with us.

A beautiful photo of the British version THE SIGNATURE OF ALL THINGS…

The Signature of All Things aptly finished amongst a wild orchid meadow in Wiltshire, England – I hope Alma would approve. Also Liz, I attended my first ever yoga and meditation evening last night. What a phenomenally beautiful experience, I don't believe that I would have found this light without your indirect guidance. Thank you for sharing your voice and encouragement with us all. x

THE DAY I FINISHED…
A surprise came to my inbox today — this photo, which I'd never seen before, sent to me by my friend Nichelle Tramble.
Nichelle took this picture of me in Wyoming in the autumn of 2004. She and I had been residents at an artist's colony (The UCross Foundation) for the past month, and that afternoon I had just finished writing the first draft of a book called "Eat Pray Love".
We had gone for a walk to celebrate, and we found this tree, which had grown straight out of the body of a rusty old car — a sturdy and impressive example of the amazing life that can be generated out of ruin and decay.
I climbed that tree. I was happy.
Goodnight, and thank you,
LG
