GREAT NEWS!

Good morning everyone —

I just got the first review for my new book, "The Signature of All Things"…and it's a rave!

The review came from the American book review magazine Kirkus, who always have the first word on new books. I'm not going to link you to the entire review here because it is ABSOLUTELY FULL of spoilers! Like, nearly every sentence has a spoiler. If you read this review, you will know the entire plot of the book, and I simply cannot in good conscience do that to any of my readers. So I will simply tell you that Kirkus loved the novel, and I will offer these little excerpts from the review, which do not spoil anything, but which make me feel absolutely delighted:

"A sweeping saga…superb…writing seems lifted from pages written two centuries past…a brilliant exercise in intellect and imagination."

HOLY COW.

I am so damn happy. You can never get too calloused (or too confident!) in this field to get over the joy of a wonderful review — especially the first one.

A HAPPINESS JAR as a housewarming/homecoming gift to the self! Love this!

Hi Liz, I'm moving into a new place and decided that a brand new Happiness Jar would be the perfect housewarming gift for myself. I decorated it with butterflies as the symbols for transformation. When I pick up the keys tomorrow the Happiness Jar will be the first thing I take into my new home!
