Liz-
A few weeks ago, you had posted your opinion on whether a spiritual journey was selfish. I had been agonizing about doing just that. I had recently been fired from a long term job, felt down on my luck and depressed, and like so many others, clung to your words in EAT PRAY LOVE. Your post came at just the right moment and I was able to gather the courage to book a flight to Bali the next day. Tears of relief and gratitude streamed down my face as I clicked the "purchase" button. I am in Bali now, and cannot even express the feeling. As an aspiring writer, I have written more in 5 days than I have in 5 years. Thank you for giving this ole gal the guts to proceed through your bravery to explore yourself and share it with others. Thought you would appreciate the view from my villa, where I choose to write each day. I appreciate your writing style so much; so similar to my own-you have the amazing ability to transport your reader to wherever you are-including your own mind, which is so admirable. Liz Gilbert, you're my hero!
PS…I came here to write but God sure does have a sense of humor…FRENCH men can be almost as persuasive as Brazilian men!

Good morning, beautifuls!
Somebody sent me a link to this quote, and as I was reading it, I thought, "Oh, that's a nice generous thought…" Then I saw who the quote was attributed to — that chick who wrote Eat Pray Love! Who knew?
Sometimes I forget about stuff I said.
🙂
Anyhow, dear ones, have a lovely day. Try to be a little tiny bit friendly to yourselves.
Love,
Liz

Elizabeth Gibert's Eat, Pray, Love…. (AKA my bible) Truly a life changer for me and a life long reference. The first time I went to her store Two Buttons in NJ I had the honor of meeting her. Certainly one of the best moments of my life!
