Attention all NYC-area botany freaks!

On May 29th, I will be doing an event at the New York Botanical Gardens called "Weird, Wild, and Wonderful: An Evening of Women, Art & Botany."

I'll be appearing onstage alongside the magnificent Amy Stewart (author of THE DRUNKEN BOTANIST and other amazing plant books.)

Familiar followers of this page may remember the bright green mossy cocktail that Amy invented for THE SIGNATURE OF ALL THINGS…she's pretty awesome — and that cocktail will be served on May 29th at the event!

Dear Liz, I'm a big fan of your work. Here it's SOAT in Vitré, a little medieval French town where I live. I found out about your work around 5 years ago when I was in my sabbatical year in Dublin… Eat, Pray, Love was my bedside book at that time… You're an inspiring human being. Warm regards from this Franco-Brazilian fan Caranna.
