FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE ALREADY REACHED THE LAST PAGE OF "THE SIGNATURE OF ALL THINGS"….

(Don't worry…this post is NOT a spoiler.)

But I just wanted to say — this is the actual tree. This is the beautiful old shell bark hickory, at the Hortus Botanical Gardens in Amsterdam.

My tree of trees. I saw this tree on a visit to Holland about five years ago, and knew, as soon as we met, that she would be appearing in my novel.

Sometimes you just get a feeling about somebody, right?

She's a magnificent soul. If you happen to live in Amsterdam, or if you ever find yourself there, do go visit this tree.

Tell her I said THANK YOU. Alma, too.
