Finally I finished.
3 long months ago I sat in a pre-op room waiting for surgery to remove a brain tumor. Nine days prior, I had surgery to remove half a tumor ridden thyroid. As I waited, I tried to read to calm my nerves. Five pages, then I was wheeled away. A week later I tried, but could not read. Two weeks, then three. Little by little I read…sometimes requiring the page to be read 3 times to retain it. Here I sit three months later with 500 beautiful, challenging pages behind me. Alma & I took quite a journey. She will forever be with me.
