WE HEART INDEPENDENT BOOKSELLERS!

I had such a lovely lunch yesterday in Los Angeles with this group of local Southern California independent booksellers—including the owners of Vroman's, Book Soup, Pages, Warwick's, Mysterious Galaxy, and Diesel. Some of these booksellers are old friends, some are new faces, but all are wonderful.

You want to have good conversation, by the way? Have lunch with a gang of book folk!

Dear Liz,
here is a picture of my Happiness Jar. I have decided to bend the rules a bit and write down every happy moment I can think of whenever it comes to me – instead of just picking one. As you can see, it's not very full yet and I don't feel like particularly happy person at the moment. But you can tell by the size of the jar that I intend to be. Reading Luca's book definitely was a happy moment. Thank you so much for this wonderful idea and being such a generous and inspiring person altogether!
