I recently bought this painting, by a wonderful German artist named Anne Siems. It's called "The Plant Collector" — and those of you who have read "The Signature of All Things" will probably immediately understand why I had to have it!
Doesn't it have a sort of Alma-esque feel?
I thought so, anyway! Wonder if you agree?

Treating myself to some non-required reading for my birthday on a brisk day at UT-Knoxville. Such a lovely book. I was so happy to hear you speak at the Tennessee Theatre earlier this month. I was sad I wasn't able to meet you, but thankful I was able to attend. It was a wonderful early birthday present. Thank you for everything!
