FIRST DAY OF SUMMMER…

Yesterday was the solstice, and today summer is here. My garden is at that sweet transitory moment between strawberries and blueberries. Everything is in bloom. Tomatoes are putting out their first blossoms, and the tiny tea roses are happily exploding pink petals everywhere. The beds of mint and wildflowers are full of baby praying mantises and giant bumble bees. Feet are bare, cats are lazy, days are long…with more and more and more such days ahead.

Make it a beautiful one, my friends.

Every summer has its spirit…what will this one bring for you?

Mine, I hope, will be restful.

And here's the poem of the day!
Love,
Liz
